A Touch of Sparkle

I love a bit of sparkle don't you? I'm quite partial to a mermaid too so I decided to put the two together and make my mermaid of gold!

I loved using the gold paint and seeing it shine when tilted to the light.

She's painted on 10 x 7 canvas board and looks beautiful when caught in the light.

Little golden fish swim with her and I've used touches of pale blue iridescent ink in the background too, creating a watery magical sea in which they swim.

Her hair is a pure golden colour and swirls around in the water, decorated with tiny flowers.

Thankyou for coming to visit today, I hope you're having a lovely week! xx

She's beautiful, I'm a big fan of a little metallic sparkle in things, it really adds another dimension. You've made such a lovely job of her. CJ xx
I always become obsessed with Mermaids as summer approaches. This one is very special! I agree we need more glitter in our lives. (and colour!)
Love her and all the colours beautifully matching with her!

I think I must have been a magpie in a former life as I love metallic shimmer. Your mermaid glows. I love the background too it works so well with the gold. In sure like me you love Klimt and his watery sea serpents. Gold and water go beautifully together!

A sparkly, golden mermaid, how pretty she must look. You know, I have a collection of mermaids, Jess. They have always fascinated me. And your painting is dazzling. You did a fantastic job.

love, ~Sheri
It looks great! I also love to have some gold in my paintings, as you know. I think I have to try some iridescent paints, too. It must look pretty, especially in blue. Happy weekend.
