Yesterday's Doings

I like to get the paints out, whether it's for me or a little person. Lexie likes painting too!

Here is my painting I've just started. I like to do the beginning stages on the floor so I can spray the acrylic paint with water and leave the puddles to dry. Please excuse my foot, it was a hot day yesterday when I took this photo and shoes were not needed! I'll post my progress with it here so you can see how it develops.
Can you tell what it is yet?" ;o)

Well, with all that blue (on you toe-nails too), I am thinking of where I went earlier in the year - St. Ives.

For me these are the sea and the sky, mingling at the horizon!:) But..., who knows what's in your imagination, Jessie! I'm so eager to follow with you the process. Thanks for the opportunity!
Are these potato stamps? How did you carve them so well, my first attempt wasn't a very successful one...

You have matching toes - your painting and you that is.

Thank you for your kind words - we're settling in OK. The house just seems strangely quiet.

It looks like the beginning of a painting of the sky and water but I cannot wait to see what it will become.
I took a class yesterday and the teacher had a canvas ready for us that looked similiar to yours. My painting started out to be lots of balloons in the sky but now I am not sure how it will end up. But I am enjoying the process which I have learned is the most important thing of all.

Thankyou :) it is the sea, and possibly my visit to St Ives is still at the forefront of my mind? I've now painted a boat, some flowers and some land in the distance but I have a way to go because it's at that annoying stage where I know something's wrong but not sure what that is yet!x

I love that I just found someone else who wears blue (and likely other wild colors?) nail polish too!
