A Painting of the Sea as I hold on to Summer

The garden is sparkling from rain, the sun is low.

The virginia creeper shows the reddening signs.

But my heart is still at the sea-side!
That's my perpetual spinach growing on the window sill, it still thinks it's summer too and you can just about make out my deckchair outside. I'm not about to take that in, not yet.

My painting is finished but I'm not finished with the summer yet.

Are you? ;)

Ok, definitely one of my favorites by--this is so beautiful and has bit of a fantasy feel. I'm loving that purple wall your sea is hung on to! That color is delicious. Have a beautiful day :)

Absolutely love this painting and the colors you have chosen. I especially love the white circular (globe-like) flowers with the white dots. Love it.
Love love it!!

Lucky you! We haven't had rain in over a month!! Gah! I think I can feel myself shrinking and drying out, being a monsoon girl myself. :))

And look at that gorgeous painting! Makes me long for the cool sea...

Love the painting. But, actually? Yes, I'm done with summer. We've had a long, overly warm one here, and I'm looking forward to the rioting colors, apple picking and crushing, pumpkin flavored everything, and more! :)

Wow Jess...this is extremely summery and so beautiful on your wall there.

I am usually not ready for summer to end but due to extreme heat and drought here in Kansas I am looking forward to fall now.

Jess your painting looks so calm and serene, just like one would expect to feel looking at the ocean.

Well there hasn't been very much summer so I don't feel too bad it is leaving. We are promised a truly beautiful Autumn full of colour so another reason not to regret the dying of one season.
The painting is such a happy one, it looks perfect on your wall, definitely one you should keep.

This painting is so tender and full of longing and nostalgia for summer! I like it really very much! The sun rays will always dance on it, making a cold winter day warmer!:)
I'm completely ready to meet Autumn after the incredibly hot Summer we had...
