Illustration Friday: Prepare

Prepare yourself for the Spring to come.
Have love taking up all the space in your heart. If you dwell in the negative, it will always continue to blind you to the happy places that are there within your reach.
When you hurt other people, you hurt yourself more.

With all the sun we have been having it has felt very springlike recently. It lifts your spirits.
I love and feed the birds who visit our garden but we have one very special visitor who has been coming for about 6 years, he visits for a few months then goes. He is Percy the Pheasant. I don't know how long pheasants lives so he might be Percy 1 or 2 or more! Last year he bought a friend, not Mrs. Percy, another male. I spotted him this Wednesday and I was so happy to see him toddling about on the patio. He makes me smile.

Hi Carol, how lucky you are to have pheasants come to visit your garden! The males are particularly stunning to look at aren't they?

Lovely birds, especially the second one is so sweet with this hat!:)
Well, well, it's winter here (looking at the calendar), but we haven't had snow yet, so... it's too early for the spring to come! Although I love it most!:)
What about positive and negative thoughts... You are absolutely right! I even think that we can disarm evil with a smile and a good attitude...
Lovely, warm and happy New Year, full of inspiration, health and love, Jess!

Blue is my absolute fav color, so today's art is delightful. How were you inspired to add the greatest little tam ever to the little bird. Love, love, love it!!!

Nice little birds, there is something of the 1960s about the style, which I like. I love their expressions!

Thanks Rossichka, it's early for spring here too but the seasons seem to be a bit confused at the moment and I don't think we've actually had our winter yet! If we did I must have blinked and missed it. ;o)
Yes I believe love can melt away bad feelings too.

Thanks Robin, the 'tam' kind of evolved on its own. I had no intention of making him look scottish!

Thankyou Jane. :)

Thankyou Yvonne and Carmen, I'm so happy that they evoke peace. :)

Thanks Jenny, that's interesting, I wonder if I've been subliminally influenced by my childhood? :)

Thanks Julia, I do enjoy doing patterns. :) I'm quite enjoying the more subdued pallette of late too but I daresay my bright colours will emerge eventually!

Absolutely delightful! I love your work. I find February a perfectly inspiring month as there are many symbolic celebrations and concrete signs of spring coming. I have heard fledgings chattering away and have seen many nests being built. Such beautiful birds and a truthful message you have shared with us.

Thank you.
