Immersed in Colour
I'm in the depths of a cold right now but surrounding myself with collage, colour, and ladies with their birds. Can't be bad can it? ;o)
I'm having a cosy day.
The sort of day when I stumble upon the selection of children's christmas story books that have accumulated over the years. They've brought magic to my children's christmasses and will perhaps be passed on to the next generation.
Or maybe I'll just want to keep them for myself!

And the books, a small treasure of memories, i love (children's) story books, keep them dear Jessie ;) xx
I have kept some of my children's books to read with the youngest generation. It is fun to revisit books with my grandchildren that their father loved. Have a wonderful holiday season. I am sure it will be full of color and creativity.
I found some of my old Rupert Bear, Christmas annuals from the 70's the other day.
I don't think I can part with them. They remind me of my childhood too much. Lovely memories with Rupert!
Have a peaceful Christmas and enjoy reading those books again! ;-)
Hope you get better and have a merry christmas with the people you love.
It is a hot humid day here, I would love to swap places with you :-)
Happy Christmas to you and your loved Ones !
I bought an audio book of Christmas children's stories in the charity shop last week.
Carol xx
You have a great collection of books there. :)
Thanks Jo, I too have Rupert Annuals from when I was little. I just have to look at those pictures to be transported back in time to that magical world of Nutwood Forest!
Thankyou Mary and Ana :)
Thanks so much Marilyn, I'll have to turn down your offer, I'm quite happy to be having this mild winter! ;o)
Thankyou Kim, they cheer me up no end!
Thankyou Bella and I'll look forward to your new year visits :)
Thanks Carol, Maybe I'm feeling a bit retro right now? I don't need Charity shops, I have loads of kids stuff here still! ;o)
Thanks Karen, yes I love Shirley Hughes illustrations, have done since I was a child myself. I bought that book for the pictures rather than the story! :)
