Bright Orange

Is it these dark days that make me want to see a page spread with bright orange?
I bought some clementines the other day and they weren't very sweet. In fact they were so bitter I'm not going to eat them any more. I think I shall buy satsumas next time. Do you think they'll be any sweeter?

(close up detail)

"Open up to the best."

I read this quote yesterday
and I liked it.

stunning. the colors, the mood, the inspiration. i love the hint of pink, yellow, and green lost in the orange - it’s so alive and just beautiful...

I also feel we need bright colours during the dark days of winter.
Thanks for posting some lovely illustrations with the colour orange!
I think these images are very pretty and it is funny you should mention satsumas. I always thought clementines were sweeter!
I will have to buy some now and try them both to compare. ;-)

What a brilliant colourful page this is, Jessie !!!! I love orange (though not the football-orange we have here)
Hope the clementines are better (I only have my organic fruit and vegetable bag every week ;-) ....)

Orange is such a positive colour it is put into a lot of my work. I feel like I have just had a vitamin shot looking at your picture. Yesterday was a bit misty here in the south west but today has been glorious. Apparently we need the rain now. Something to do with a drought!

This is gorgeous! Love how bright the colors are.
These are definitely good colors to have at this time of year....it has been very foggy the last few days and you made the sun come out!!! Thanks!
My grapefruits lately have been very dry but the clementines have been great. It probably has something to do with how they are stored before and during shipping...that is what they tell me at my veg/fruit shop anyway. Better luck with satsumas I hope.
