Hanging Up

Nearly October and it is hotter today than I remember in the summer!
I thought this new post would be of an autumnal theme but instead I'm going to show you a tree I saw a couple of weeks ago near Lulworth Cove.

I like to see objects used in unusual ways and I love that things can have more than one use. I wonder if the owner found all these on the beach after the holiday makers had gone home?

They look pretty don't they?
Or have they been taken hostage and are calling to their owners to reclaim them?!

I was feeling so hot I needed something to keep my hair out of my eyes and the first thing I found was a peg.

There's a lot to be said
Of a peg atop the head
:)

......it's the heat.......

The tree is certainly bearing strange fruit, but colourful.
My hair has a headband and a scrunchie in today, not used a peg - yet. Hot here too - why did I need to make more chutney today?!

The peg wasn't really very good, kept sliding out! I had sweet onion chutney today in my ham sandwich, yummy! :)

Ohh i see what you mean, wow, love yours x and that tree, what a wonderful idea, how many stories could each bucket and spade tell ;-) x all those hours of children's laughter and happiness x

That tree is so funny, it makes me smile. Then I saw your beautiful painting with the "peg", even funnier! Sometimes when I am cleaning or doing work where I have to lean over a bunch, I wear a very unattractive headband. That makes my husband laugh!

Thankyou CraveCute :) I've been trying to leave a comment on your blog but the page kept disappearing! I hope Blogger isn't up to its old tricks again! :)

Pegs are very useful implements I agree... I keep one in the bathroom!!

Sorry... toilet humour is pretty cheap I suppose.

Love the tree. What fun. I've seen pictures of trees decorated with bottles before but never buckets and spades :)

Love the picture. Now that peg is a great idea for when my granddaughters come. One is growing her fringe out and they come with a slide in ,it gets lost and she can't see anything so in would go a peg.great idea.Problem solved!!They would find it hilarious.

This is the most unusual and picturesque tree I've ever seen! One could think of different stories about it... Still I like the one that someone has gathered and kept all the lost and forgotten "buckets for the beach" from the long, lonely and scary days and nights along the shore... Far way from the children's laugh and hands.
I just wonder what happens when it's windy or rainy outside? Maybe this is the "musical tree"?:)
I like the idea of using a peg!! It looks so funny and "fresh"!:)))

I don't know how I arrived at your blog but I'm so glad I did! It's terrific! And I adore that tree with buckets and spades so much, would have had to paint it if I'd been there! Lulworth cove is so beautiful.

I love your painting.
Yes, how interesting that 70 degrees can feel so much hotter in October than in June.
Loving this weather.
