Wishing on a Full Moon

We've just been to Blackpool for a couple of days. I've never visited there before and was intrigued to know what it was like. My lasting memory of our stay will always be the cockroach that won a fancy dress competition dressed as Santa, complete with white beard. It was sunny but so very cold and the sky and sea were so BIG! I'm used to Devon seas so this was quite an experience. I'm listing my painting of Wishing on the Moon on Etsy today. :) I was inspired to paint it by a wish I made on the full moon!

Beautiful work, I feel a strong connection to the moon but have never wished upon it. Might have to give it a try.

I do like this one....love the birds suspended. I love the moon and love falling asleep beneath it. Very calming. Never wished upon it either.

What a lovely face, such an expression.
No, I don't think I have ever wished on a full moon, you will have to let us know if your wish comes true.
Blackpool is so very different to when I first visited some 60 years ago. I don't think it is quite so "wonderful" as it used to be but then again, to a child, so many things are wonderful.

beautiful painting! & love Blackpool..twas a holiday destination when we were kids..being from up north twas close by..cheep and cheerful, lots of fond memories of there.

i wish on the full moon..after shes illuminated all those internal whisperings. a calming practice :)

I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately.  Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. I love the pearlescent inks, they're so beautiful when they catch the light. The paintings above and below are painted in acrylic. A Day Out

Brixham Harbour It's been a while since my last post hasn't it? It's been a very busy Easter holiday for me, lots of things to sort out and jobs to do. Today's my first day at home but there's so much catching up to do after being away I don't know where to start! So I decided to start right here and to make this blogpost :) I did manage to have some relaxing time too and one of the places we went to was  Avebury Manor.  I've been to Avebury stone circles more times than I can count but have never visited the 500 year old Manor House. Each room has been restored to a different time period to represent the different generations of people who lived there over the years. I love the handpainted wallpaper in one of the rooms, so detailed.
