Glass and Lead

I've finished two more paintings!
While I had my camera out I took some pictures of the stained glass I have around my house. It wasn't until I did this that I realised how much I actually had!
This is my latest aquisition, made by Lizzie from my generic medium.

I might have shown these before, they're from my favourite shop in Lyme Regis, the Mermaid Shop.
On my last visit there I couldn't resist buying this too!

This one was made by a friend many years ago. She's moved to Australia now and it's lost its crystal that used to hang from the corner but it's the first piece I ever owned and is a reminder of the time she was here.

This is my front door. It used to be a mystery to me how a window panel like that could be made but now I'm beginning to get an idea how, with a class I'm going to.

I'm learning to make stained glass and managed to slice my finger yesterday, not on glass, no that's too straight forward isn't it but on the lead! Yes lead is a very soft metal, so soft you can dent it with your fingernail but the edges are very sharp!

Ow!

First of all, your paintings are stunning! They are a perfect match with all of your stained glass--pieces of eye candy floating all through your house!

Your new paintings are awesome. I love the colors and dreamlike qualities. Good luck with your glass class - sometimes it is painful to make beautiful things! Take care!

Wonderful paintings. I love all that pink. I'm using that a lot in a painting I am doing at the moment. Your banner picture reminds me of the story I wrote for OWOH - the Princess and the cocky bird.

gosh there is something sooo magical about light shining through colored glass. When I was a preschool teacher, I used to hand children pieces of colored acetate. They just loved running around look at the world through a different color! I love the textures in these landscapes you've painted! Looks like you've been on a slightly different artistic adventure lately!

Jessie.. tried to find a way to email you but couldnt. I'm putting up an art challenge gallery on the theme "your dream window" on my blog. Would it be possible to use one or both of these pretty pics on my blog with a link back to yours?
