Seated Man with Plant

Two very contrasting pictures! One serene and beautiful, the other..I don't think he'd feel very serene if he knew I'd put holly on his 'area'!
The top Buddha painting I made for a friend's birthday who is an accupuncturist. It's based on the healing, or medicine buddha, Bhaisajyaguru.
The second picture is one of the life drawings I did this morning. I thought I'd better add the holly before I posted it here, it was bit full frontal for a decent and respectable blog such as this. It's the last life drawing session before christmas so holly seemed very appropriate!

Hi Jess,
Two very different pictures indeed! ;-D
The first one is really beautiful. I love the calm colours you have used. It is a perfect image for a healer.
The second drawing is also really good. ;-))
I always like your life drawings... Very wise to add the holly in this picture, you don't want to be removed from blogger!
Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2011.

I'm sure that your friend will love the Buddha painting. So serene... with the colors that just sing! The second one made me smile! Very creative adding the holly. Imagine holiday cards with that image? Funny! xo

I love the vivid blues in the Buddha painting. I love the way you've drawn the trees and seated him in an elegant lotus.

Jessie dear, how are you? Oh, I'm so guilty on all charges for not visiting you sooner! You have posted some wonderful art, by the way, and the Buddha painting is just marvelous! You are the master of purple, for sure...
