Yesterday's picture that came from nowhere, it kind of evolved as I was making it. The flowers arrived at the end when my feelings had changed. Flowers represent happiness.
Oh the human condition! I'm off to get me some nice music to listen to. :)
wow, this is beautiful!! I have been fighting the snow the last few days plus going to the Christmas Art Markets where I have my handbound books displayed so I am catching up with your beautiful posts this evening. This is soooo wonderful with these two cats and all the fresh flowers!!
An absolutely beautiful picture, love the happy expressions and the flowers. It is very white here in Yorkshire, the flowers in the garden are buried and the cats aren't very pleased as it is deeper than they are tall! Carol xx
I truly think that this is one of your best pieces yet! The detail with all of the tiny designs makes it such a pleasure to look at and the overall composition is great. The colors work very well together and remind me of folk art. <3
I love this! I love this. Yes! You do watercolors with ease. I can see it. I shall not stop. Thank you for the encouragement. I need all I can get. Haha! By the way, I use the pre-filled micron pens 005 nib but lately I have started using the wider nibs instead of going over so many times an area with the 005 nib. I also use the Rapidograph pens with India ink on certain occasions when I really want to create minute details. I use the 008 nib which I have to constantly dip into the ultrasonic cleaner to prevent from clotting.

I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately. Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. I love the pearlescent inks, they're so beautiful when they catch the light. The paintings above and below are painted in acrylic. I've been obsessed with watercolour for a few weeks but I felt I'd like to get some acrylics out again. I've always been like this, going through phases of being obsessed with a particular medium thinking yes this is it! This is my final medium and then finding myself being drawn to changing once again to a different way of wor...
I like to make pictures that aren't a conventional landscape, so that the ground and the sky are interchangeable, dreamlike, floating. These paintings are done using my Tombow dual brush pens, the watercolour effect is made by adding water to the pen marks with an ordinary brush. This next one below is painted in watercolours and the black is done in waterproof drawing pens. Next is a picture made with my coloured pencils that I've had for ever. They might be ancient but they still do the job! Oh. And my black pentel brush pen and a gold gel pen. I love a bit of gold. And finally here's a cute little cucumber that Middle Daughter grew in her garden. It looks like a lemon doesn't it? It's about the same size as a satsuma and I think they're called lemon cucumbers but let me assure you they taste like a very tasty cucumber. Have a great week!xx
