A Cosy Day In

It's one of those days today when I feel like hibernating. Snuggling up with chocolate, hot chocolate anyone?

I shall indulge myself for a while, hiding away with my paints before the world beckons.
But before I do that, let me show you what greeted me in my front garden this morning. Yes, snow and also...

For the benefit of people outside the UK, click here if you really want to know what this means! It involves a 13 year old daughter who went to her first concert without any parents last week!

What gorgeous vibrant art pieces for a day when there is no colour outside. Beautiful photos of your winter wonderland ....and I love your daughter's ice graffiti ;-)
How wonderful for her to be out without parents for the first time, such a big step for parents as well as children!

Thanks Marilyn, she was dropped off inside and collected but I'm afraid sitting inside a concert hall filled with screaming teenage girls was more than I could stand! ;)

hot chocolate sounds wonderful and sinking into art is a lovely gift to oneself.... perhaps as good as the intimate relationship we had with toys when we were quite young... not much comes that close.
