Illustration Friday: Spent

Inspired by autumn leaves and the fact I feel like this most of the time these days!
Can you see the salt texture on the purple? That was fun to do. I use sea salt because the granules are quite big and they make really good shapes don't they? Today I've managed a morning of yoga, plus the long walk there and back carrying a big heavy bag of shopping so I think I'm entitled to feel like this! ;)

I like that sea salt effect. And good for you for yoga and long walking. Take a rest, and then right back at it, I bet!

I love this. It is sleepy yes but also serene and peaceful. Don't we all deserve a little rest time during the day?
Thank you for sharing.

That illustration is just how I feel. Love the salt effect.
I think I need a long sheet of your characters printed out so I can gaze upon them when I cannot sleep...they always look so soothing and relaxed and I actually feel relaxed when I see them...thanks,,I needed that!!!

I love how many of your illustrations seem to mirror how I am feeling :)

And sea salt...I've never tried that. Only ordinary salt & rock salt...never could get the rock salt to do much tho.
I love the technique

Firstly, I love the girl. I'm half-way through my first semester of grad school and this illustrates how I feel. Exactly. lol

The salt texture looks wonderful. My favorite part of this piece is the tree! The flow to the branches is so pretty and the leaves are so elegant. I also love that you chose to have create the tree in blue and purple. Beautiful.
