I felt like drawing reindeers so here are a couple of pages from my sketchbook. In the bottom one I tried out a partridge too, with a bit of artistic licence with the 'pear' tree!
these are the most loving reindeer i've ever seen. i hope they can feel the big hug i'm sending them. i can sure smell the pie they are baking in the oven...(i just know they are that sweet). xox
Yes these are watercolours. :) I like the Maybelline eyelashes description. I shall always think of that now when I'm drawing them! Don't worry, it's not that time of year (yet!) ;o) xx
I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately. Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. I've given my Etsy shop a new lease of life and will be adding these 2 ACEO's later on this morning. I do like drawing birds!
Brixham Harbour It's been a while since my last post hasn't it? It's been a very busy Easter holiday for me, lots of things to sort out and jobs to do. Today's my first day at home but there's so much catching up to do after being away I don't know where to start! I've been to Avebury stone circles more times than I can count but have never visited the 500 year old Manor House. Each room has been restored to a different time period to represent the different generations of people who lived there over the years. I love the handpainted wallpaper in one of the rooms, so detailed. It was difficult to choose which part to photograph there was so much amazing pattern. It's based on an early English chinoiserie wallpaper from around 1700. The artist Mark Sands working on t
