A Pretty Bank Holiday Walk

What a rainy bank holiday it is but the flowers seem to like it.
Even the ones who are 'past their best' look stunning. Just look at this beautiful coppery golden glow.Yes this really is this bright!
I love to see carpets of bluebells. Did you think it was my garden? :o)
No, I took these pictures while we were walking in the gorgeous gardens of Coleton Fishacre in South Devon. We've been visiting here since the children were little and do you know, it gets better every time!

On returning home, I had the exciting news that I've been included in an Etsy treasury! My painting the Sea Horses has been chosen by nicecraftworks :) I've seen other people's work included in treasuries and now I'm one of the chosen too!

Thankyou nicecraftworks, you've made my day! :))

Oh I love the bluebells! I was in Britain 11 years ago in Spring, and the spring flowers carpeting a walk near Tintern Abbey just amazed me, it really was like stepping into one of my favourite childhood books, every bit as magic as I'd always imagined. I couldn't quite believe they were real! Congrats on the Etsy Treasury too! :)

Thankyou Pilgrim of the moon!
Hi Christina, I know Tintern Abbey well, it's a stunning place isn't it? Not that far from where I live actually.

Jessie, this is such great news about Etsy and love the painting of the sea horses. I can see why it was picked out. love the colours.
The flower photos are a dream.

I tend to use acrylics 99% of the time. Some watered down for layers and other dry brushing method.
When I first tried them in college I hated them. When I had finished the piece of art I fell in love with them.
Do you use acrylic paints with yours. I love the colours you use and softness! Really do have such a daze dreaming when seeing your expression art. I was going to buy the one with the pink circles on when you placed them on ebay. Had told the Debs and David about you and wanted for you to sell your art in their gallery to help both sides.

You're very gifted Jessie!

Hugs!

Julie
Thanks dear for the words of light. Hope you are well! Blessings.

Thanks Julie :)
I use acrylics on my larger paintings on board or canvas. The ones I sold to Deb and David were acrylic and I use acrylics in a similar way to you, sometimes diluted, sometimes dry-brushing. It's been a while since I've made any acrylic paintings (apart from the mermaid bath panel)as I've been using watercolour but I've been missing it recently so I hope to do some more quite soon! :)
