Do you remember the bath panel I painted with a picture of a mermaid? It's fixed into place now and here it is. I've put several layers of clear varnish on it so it'll stand the wear and tear of family life hopefully!Last night we saw the film Séraphine. It's based on the life of the little known artist Séraphine Louis, known as "Séraphine de Senlis"
Born in Northern France in 1864, she came from an extremely poor background and in the film we see her in the early days collecting materials for painting where she can; blood from the butcher's, wax from the church candles. It's a beautifully made film and well worth watching! Les grappes de raisin 1930 © Adagp, Paris 2008 Collection Dina Vierny
