Springing Spring

At last I've finished knitting this jumper.

It took an age because it started life as this.....

.....and I unpicked it after putting up with those e-NOR-mous sleeves for far too long.

When I'd originally made it a hundred years ago, I'd sewn up the seems so well that I could hardly see my stitches. That's why it's lasted so long but it was sooo tedious to try to unpick let me tell you! Anyway the task is done, it fits me and is thick and warm ready for next winter.

Next winter? Yes, because you might have noticed how warm it was today - Spring is Springing!

I am amazed at your talents...surprised you didn't knit a big Cadburys Chocolate bar into the centre...lol
Love the rug btw....
Knitting...sigh! It is a magical skill that I find unfathomable, and people who can do it must have fairy dust on their fingers (and probably their toes too)! I cannot knit, I have tried, but...maybe it's something I needed to learn when my granny was still alive to teach me. I can crochet, sort of, but only things that don't require 2 halves/sides/pieces the same. But I do love purple!

Thankyou Ren! I didn't read it that way at all and was really flattered! It's a better shape on than off if you know what I mean but I'm far too shy to pose in it to show you. Oh, and the stripes were added because I could see that there wouldn't be enough wool to finish it! ;O)

Thanks April, well I would have done if it had arrived in time! Looking forward to it!:o)

Hi Christina, I was lucky enough to learn when I was about 6 or 7 but I'm sure it's never too late and I'm glad you like purple! :)
