What Bathroom Antics Do You Enjoy?

These paintings evolved while I was working on the Illustration friday 'Muddy' one. (See post below.) When I say evolved, I mean it! Each one started out as a drawing of a girl who was putting on a face pack but other events took over!

What do YOU like to do in the bathroom?

Sadly it involves no long soaks in the bath indoors, I save that for our outside garden bath where I can happily lay under the stars for hours... the indoor bathroom is reserved for rushed morning and nightime cold water splashings on face and teeth brushing, and quick, boiling hot showers where I like to emerge like a boiled beetroot.... Wonderful paintings, full of life, clever Jessie, Ren x

Thanks Ren, your garden sounds much more welcoming than your bathroom! Of course this picture I've painted bears no resemblance whatsoever to my life! Oh well! ;)
Very appealing your top drawing...

The bathroom, being a place of sactuary and pampering, is a room I rarely visit these days, only to pop in to brush my teeth or clean up after the zoo animals that have been in there before me. So I have forgotten what, if any, antics I might have in there. (I have an ensuite so I do wash, in case you were wondering) lol
That said I used to enjoy a glass of wine and a book many moons ago.
Your water colours - as I've said before - are so vivid and colourful, and crisp in detail. I love the trees on the book! (I wonder who THAT is in the bath then?) lol

The bathroom is freezing at the moment so in and out as fast as possible. But a bath in the garden...that sounds fantastic!

These are lovely,so lively and such fun!
My bathroom is not a nice place to stay long periods of time. North facing, downstairs, damp, and prone to mould :(
Having said that I do like a bubble bath with a book. :)

Me too except these days I need glasses for reading and they steam up!

Ooh I especially love the purple one! Yet I often emulate the first illustration, and can be found dreaming of new creative project or reading a good book in my bathroom. The best creative and spiritual energy resides there! Great question, wonderful art! Nice to have found you!!

Thankyou :)
It's not the real me in the bath, maybe an imaginary one - wishful thinking!

There would have been a time if asked this, I would have said 'Not telling'! My bathroom here is so gross I am merely delighted if I can acquire just sufficient hot water. Oh dear, guess what my next project is. Love the lampshade hat. X

Thanks Lizzie, Good luck with your new bathroom, I hope it becomes the cosy and realaxing place it should be!

I have glasses too so I have to read in the bath without them LOL.
I look a hoot when I am cooking though!

Hahaha! I'm having to get used to dodging out of the way of the hot air when I open the oven door!

Your illustrations are so good. Glad you kept going with them! The bath one, I want that to be me! Relaxing!

Your right about no machinery, it really felt so good to sew by hand.

Your daughter she is beautiful!
Lovely to see her and her hubby!

Bless you so much and have an amazing day!

Hugs!

Julie
