Illustration Friday: Adrift

How could I resist doing this week's Illustration Friday? What a lovely word to illustrate.

This looks like a soft and peaceful place to be adrift as spring approaches. I agree, this was a fun word to illustrate. Thanks for stopping by my blog, too!

She reminds me of drifting along.
Love the colours!

Wow! So nice illustration, and so full of sadness and strange mood it seems to me; I talk about the girl, not the painting. The painting is wonderful but it gives me like a feeling of sadness. Adrift, you're right... Not knowing where to go, whom to go with and why...

hiya Jessie this is beautiful and is exactly how i'm feeling at the mo.. floating gently adrift :)
hope you are well.. you've been busy, just been admiring all your art from this year x
Adrift is such an evocative theme...it could be negative or positive depending on how you're feeling. Adrift, not needing to go anywhere or be anywhere, just enjoying the moment, floating free...or adrift, out of control, lost direction, not belonging anywhere. I think your lady is the former though, she looks like she's enjoying her peaceful moment!

Drifting away down the stream...alone with your thoughts... Can I switch places with her?? (^_^)
