Illustration Friday: Clumsy

I enjoyed drawing the birdcage so much for the last Illustration friday that I thought I'd draw another one for clumsy!
I used my Inktense pencils for this and I'm gradually discovering how best to use them. They're not that great for large expanses of colour, like the grass and sky, but very good at solid small areas if you want a bright colour. I wasn't happy with the texture I ended up with on the grass so the sky's done with good-old watercolour!

I am very happy o see the bird is free again!! Lovely colours. I never got the hang of water soluble crayons. I always landed up with ripping the paper.

Love your cage! And the previous one you painted! I bought inktense crayons too a few years back and have yet to produce something worthwhile!!

Jessie you have been sooo busy and they are all equally delightful. I can't pick a favourite but the IF: Clumsy is Brilliant. That's me sometimes for sure. Your trees are wonderful and it comes across that you love doing them. That's the key isn't it, doing something you love. Steam on gal and thanks for the comments at my blog too! ;)

Gorgeous cage. It's fun to draw and paint the things we enjoy the most... why not do it as often as you can, right?

Man, you really are a prolific artist! I let a little time go by before visiting and there is a virtual feast for the eyes waiting for me!
