I was so tired last night and do you know? I couldn't get to sleep and so today I feel even more tired. Why on earth does this happen? It almost feels as though I'll never sleep again no matter how long I stay in bed!
Oh Jessie I was there myself about two nights ago. It happens to me every now and again, it's like I get itchy feet and can't lie still and my mind is racing!!! Great illustration!! I love that you have no colour in it, and her expression is great!! Hope you get some sleep soon!!!

I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately. Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. So I decided to start right here and to make this blogpost :) I did manage to have some relaxing time too and one of the places we went to was Avebury Manor. I've been to Avebury stone circles more times than I can count but have never visited the 500 year old Manor House. Each room has been restored to a different time period to represent the different generations of people who lived there over the years. I love the handpainted wallpaper in one of the rooms, so detailed. It was difficult to choose which part to photograph there was so much amazing pattern.
