A Day of Life

Today I had the luxury of spending a whole day doing life drawing. I took some watercolour pencils in but my unfortunately my sketchbook wasn't man enough for the job and started to disintegrate under the strain of having a delicate 'wash'. It said on the cover (WHS for the record) it was suitable for line and wash but maybe it meant suitable if you don't mind the page disappearing! The model was amazing and works in the circus so did some fantastic poses but they were also quite explicit so I can't show them here because my blog might get censored. Believe me, they were very explicit.

Great life drawings Jessie. Very sensitive work.:)
The mind does boggle!!!
The model must of been very fit, (meaning she must be athletic to work in a circus)...LOL

Thanks Joanne, She did the most unusual and amazing poses. She'd put herself into a kind of medetitive trance to hold each one because they must have been painful, even for someone like her who trains all the time!

Thanks for stopping by, I've appreciated being able to see your drawings with are wonderful. I'd go back, as we live near Brighton walking away meant we wouldn't get to see the exhibition full stop so we persevered with it, and I'm so glad we did, it was just fantastic. And the queue moves pretty quickly - when we joined it it was quite far down the road (as you can see in the photo!), but we were in within 45 mins. I'm posting some photos of the exhibition today and tomorrow if you want to have a look and see if you still fancy going.

oo, we came out at just past 2 and the queue then was very short.
