heheh brilliant! I struggled so hard with the theme this week that I just gave up. Naughty me I know! In answer to your question about the coasters they are made out of a thin piece of wood, I have painted it in acrylic and was going to go over the paint with a gloss but need something to go over that to protect it.....
Ah, how sweet Jessie! I don't have kids, but was a nanny ansd this reminded me of them when they were small! Very cute and lovely watercolour, as always - how do you do it?!

Hi Jessie, thank you so much for your message. Suzi Blu is so creative. In her classes, she tells us about putting all our feelings down in our journal. Then covering them with mixed media art in a positive pretty petite doll way to empower our inner self with love. You're expressing your heart no matter how you are and making and turning it beautiful. If you can afford to join her petite dolls class it is well worth a million dollars! You are in for a treat!
Pastor of a church I use to go to. Once said to me "surround yourself with people that are good for you" I think this is similar to Suzi Blu's teachings?
Do you know Jessica, you art is so joyful and full of energy and beauty. I cannot see any sadness in them, only joy and vibrancy life. I can see your art being very, and I mean very popular! I am sure if they were in The Range or shops similar, they would only sell your prints! Not creeping, I truly believe this.
oooo this looks sooo familiar! My daughters guilty of this but she really does think that she is "helping mummy" so all is forgiven! I love this illustration, really great work
Heee heee, so cute! I have kitties that do that to me, and they also leave little hair deposits all over my nice clean laundry! Love the colors and the whole rich scenery of this one as well as the whimsey!
Thankyou so much for such lovely comments! Unfortunately this happened to my washing basket only this morning and my children are big! Cheeky monkeys. :o)x

What's happened to the weather? It's raining and windy and my gas was switched of all day yesterday so it was cold too! This little sketch popped into my sketchbook from my windy head. I finished this painting on canvas above a few days ago, it's called 'Safe Harbour' and soon after finished the other painting (with the bird flying a kite) too. I didn't have a name for it until the end and I decided upon 'Summer Breeze'. That was a day when the sun was still shining but the wind was beginning to stir. Summer Breeze sounds quite soothing doesn't it and I quite like the song of the same name. :) That guitar intro takes me back to being 13 before teenage angst really set in! Windy and rainy it might be but my latest painting is filled with a peaceful setting of pattern and colour. I like textures and the effects of different painting techniques and I'm trying to balance randomness with pattern. Not an easy ta...
Brixham Harbour It's been a while since my last post hasn't it? It's been a very busy Easter holiday for me, lots of things to sort out and jobs to do. Today's my first day at home but there's so much catching up to do after being away I don't know where to start! So I decided to start right here and to make this blogpost :) I did manage to have some relaxing time too and one of the places we went to was Avebury Manor. I've been to Avebury stone circles more times than I can count but have never visited the 500 year old Manor House. Each room has been restored to a different time period to represent the different generations of people who lived there over the years. I love the handpainted wallpaper in one of the rooms, so detailed. It was difficult to choose which part to photograph there was so much amazing pattern. It's based on an early English chinoiserie wallpaper from around 1700. The artist Mark Sands working on t...
