My Sketchbook Has Become a Friend

I've been playing in my sketchbook today. It's the sketchbook that I hated when I first bought it because the paper wouldn't take watercolour very well, but do you know?
I actually like it now,
no I love it. There.
I don't however, love these cats with their ping-pong ball eyes. They look a bit crazed.

It's great that they look crazy. Gives them piles of personality. Have you ever added up how many sketchbooks you have?

Jess, sometimes I think cats can look crazed...these kind of have a cute/crazy air about them.

Isn't it wonderful to find something has grown on you? Watercolor paper can sure be testy, but the one thing I have tried to keep in mind is it is just different rather than good or bad...it is the way I stroke myself if I don't like it.

As always really fun work going on here.

Encore un super graphisme ! J'adore l'orientation que tu prends avec le premier dessin ! L'homme et la femme sont une très belle composition !
Bravissimo !

I feel like one of those cats this morning!!!
Your watercolour sketchs are wonderful, I love seeing a new thumbnail come up on the sidebar so I can take a peep! Ren x

Hi Rosie, no I've not counted but I've kept them all since I started and that included the life drawing ones too! Looking upon my shelf I can see about 12 at least!

Merci Jeff! :)

Thanks Kathy, Ren and Ruthie. I didn't want to waste the sketchbook by not using it so it's more to do with me getting used to its idiosyncricies!
