Yesterday I felt odd, a bit like this picture above. Those dratted hormones!

This morning I felt a bit more 'normal' so I took the plunge of going back to life drawing. There's a place a short bus ride away called the Folkhouse where they do all sorts of courses. The one I went to this morning was the 'Drop in and Draw' session, which is perfect for me as I can drop in without commiting to a whole term!
This one had very tricky perspective but I really enjoyed the challenge.I had a lovely morning, I might even go back again next week :)

Brilliant life drawing Jess, that sort of thing scares me even more than paint! The bottom one is excellent. Can you say a big 'Thank you' to your daughter for the lovely compliment about Fluffville! It really means a lot! Thanks x

Oh Jess, I so get those hormones and how they can give you a twist from time to time! I am sorry you are also under their control. I often feel like that woman you have so beautifully painted! Tee hee...the one at the top, not the drawing at the bottom.

I am glad you found the life drawing drop in class...that was a good thing to do it sounds like. You do love that so much and it is nice to have one which you do not have to make a committment about!

The bottom drawing is excellent. It really has grace. Sorry about the hormones. They are evil. I don't know why it's not researched more!

Jessica you may laugh and I don't know if you know this but I have been saving my doll hairs to get your 'resting on the moon watercolor' on etsy.

Canadian doll hair is much less than american, but the part you may laugh at is I look at it at your shop all the time to make sure it isn't sold.

So just so you know someone out here is salivating over it.

Also, I am crazy for this new women in the picture, the hormonal one with the crazy hair.

I like the woman's portrait because it's full of expression. The cats are very funny and the nudes exact. It's important to interpret reality and to represent it with exactitude, to go from one to other side (sorry for my english, I'm not used to write in english). Imagination and reality complete themselves.

I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately.  Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. I love the pearlescent inks, they're so beautiful when they catch the light. The paintings above and below are painted in acrylic.
