Memories of Mud

watercolour sketch

It was a lovely long weekend because the schools were closed thursday and friday. We enjoyed a walk in the woods with two daughters, remembering the days when we'd have to carry muddy children most of the way!

Wow1 The cat's eye and nose are beautiful but boy it looks cold over there.

Thanks Rosie! Yep, sure is cold, steadily raining today too, but instead of washing away the snow it's turning into slippery ice!

Oh Jess, I really love your watercolor sketch...what amazing work with the eyes!

These photos remind me of the incredible walks through the New Forest. I bet the snow made it so beautiful...oh how I miss your fair island!

Thanks Jess!

What a beautiful painting, Jessie! I really love it - I so wish I could handle watercolour like you, that's amazing. How long did it take to do?

Thanks Liz, it took just a few minutes for the actual putting on of paint, but I left each layer to dry and that's what took longer. :)
Gorgeous cat painting, love the eyes!

Very nice paint sketch - looks so spontaneous, and the eyes do pull you right in.

This is such a snowy winter! It's snowing here in the Pacific Northwest again tonight (after thunder, lightening and hail). Very unusual for us to have so much.

Thanks Jennifer and Tara :)
It's weird isn't it especially as Australia is so very hot at the moment!
