Here's my painting to illustration a magazine article about someone's true experience at a customs office. It's been accepted and although I don't have a publishing date yet, when I do, I'll let you know!
Oh this is a good one to be sure. So American, too! I can just imagine this happening...bet I can guess the airport, too!
The illustration is truly wonderful. I love it! Congratulations on the acceptance to the magazine...how cool is that? I can imagine the story to go with it is going to be a wild ride, too!
Thanks Alina, I do enjoy conjuring up characters! Hi Kim, You've been to JFK then hehe? Happy Valentine's day to you. Thanks Joss and a happy Valentines back at cha!:) Hi Karen, thanks, yes! Maybe I had that in the back of my mind without realising!
This is great... love the colors. Hope you post the illustration from the magazine, too. Would love to hear about your freelancing experience with this!! Congrats!
I've been thinking about why I'm drawing cottages lately. Maybe it's because there aren't many people around where we live and on our daily walks we rarely come across anyone else which I suppose is a good thing as we're still in Lockdown and have to practice Social Distancing which has now become a very well used phrase in our language! Maybe it's this lack of seeing people around that my mind is turning towards houses and flowers? The ones above are done in ink. I've been to Avebury stone circles more times than I can count but have never visited the 500 year old Manor House. Each room has been restored to a different time period to represent the different generations of people who lived there over the years. I love the handpainted wallpaper in one of the rooms, so detailed. It was difficult to choose which part to photograph there was so much amazing pattern. It's based on an early English chinoiserie wallpaper from around 1700. The artist Mark Sands working on t
