Take An Old Chest of Drawers

Take an old chest of drawers that is on its last legs, glue the parts together that have broken

and give it a new lease of life with some old paint you find in the shed. Never mind that the lid is rusted on, you can pick the bits of rust out of the paint before you begin. No one will ever know, unless you tell them. :)

Paint the drawer knobs with a jaunty sea-side design

and there you have a nice new piece of furniture for no cost at all. :)

It's so good to reuse items and not discard and buy new. brilliant!

Jess, beautiful job at turning something just plain into something beautiful and sweet! I used to do a lot with furniture, too. It's so much fun and very therapeutic, too!

I glad I'm not the only one who picks out bits of rust out of old paint.
The chest of drawers is looking good now.

Jess,
You have restored that old chest to look like new. And what a clever idea to add the nautical theme on the knobs. You did a great job. I can't believe how much we can make a piece of furniture come alive just by adding few coats of paint.

love,
