Illustration Friday: Water

This week's word for Illustration Friday is 'water'.

I tend to have areas of blue in some of my paintings that end up as a river or the sea and the one above illustrates just that. It started with a base of acrylic paint and when that was dry I added the details with a dip pen and some ink.

In the tradition of my last couple of posts, here are some more sketchbook pages, each very different to the next but all of them drawn without planning or forethought...

I've discovered a white gel pen that can draw on top of opaque colour, I'm sure to wear it out soon!

There's that flying girl again.

I don't have any pets to draw from, so dog owners please forgive any errors in anatomy here. I do however know what a cup of tea looks like and did this from memory. ;)
So if you excuse me, I'm off to drink mine.
Bye for now!

J'aime particulièrement cette petite fille qui s'envole avec les petits oiseaux sur ses cheveux...
Des couleurs rayonnantes.
